OOC: Slenderplot for Team Light
Greetings, O Team Light! You could probably have a more clever name but I'm not that clever, so Team Light you are.
Anyway. Things of importance! Namely, the final confrontation and wrapping up the plot. We need to discuss:
More people have signed up to fight than to be victims/proxies. For this reason, when it comes to the final confrontation I'd like to divide you all into teams and have some of you focus on rescuing victims, others on subduing proxies, some chasing Slendy in the woods (quite likely, to find and destroy his tree.) One team that I especially need volunteers for is Jack's team, which will actually corner and confront Slendy.
I do have a plan for how to get rid of Slenderman, but it's kind of a "if we don't think of anything better" deal, so I'd like to hear ideas of how to finally defeat Slendy. Remember: he cannot be killed. We can play with the idea of him drawing power from people believing in him; the flipside to that that I can see is if people power up Jack with belief in him so he can drive his dark half out--but that's more of a "if we don't think of anything better" deal too.
As for the teams, I'd like them to be 2-4 people, and you can decide how you want to divide yourself up or I can do that for you.
I'd like to pre-thread the final confrontation because I'm moving at the end of the month and don't know how available I'll be the last few days. I would like to have everything wrapped up by November 1st.

Team Light ideas
Re: Team Light ideas
It was an idea, and it may have been mine.
That Psy should have a danceoff battle with the Slenderman and send him back to wherever he came from.
(EYYYYYY, SLENDY LADYYYYY)
Re: Team Light ideas
Also, if Slenderman cannot be killed, can he be banished? Does he have a home dimension?
OR
If he is supposed to be a tree pretending to be a dude, can we lock him back in tree form? Then he would just be a creepy tree and there could be a fence around it or something. (Or you could chop it down and burn it, but that might be going a bit too far...)
Perhaps Sweeney would let Slendy get tossed into the Dreaming with all the other nightmares?
Just brainstorming!

Re: Team Light ideas
... In all seriousness, I like the Dreaming and tree-binding notions.

... that was a very run-on sentence. Um. Yes!
Re: Team Light ideas
If that might come in handy?
(She can do similar things by sticking stuff with her claws, but I somehow feel that might be less useful here.)
I was thinking of that in light of the tree-form idea, for what that is worth.

ETA: If you have too many there, I can easily switch to stopping and subduing proxies.

1) Would it be possible to have one person bounce between two teams? I could see Olivia starting out on search-and-rescue and migrating toward chasing Slendy into the woods, or vice-versa; would that work, or should I just flip a coin? *g*
2) The Trickster's smartass moment: best for Jack's team, or better suited for the chasing-into-the-woods?

2) I want that on Jack's team! Possibly because it made me laugh.
